On February 4, 2017, the BKCR opened its new self-learning centre, giving students the opportunity to work autonomously. This can prove especially useful if the class schedule includes a gap without classes or in case an assigned teacher became ill on short notice and no substitute could be found.

Students can work there alone or in groups, making use of its four rooms:

  • The library is a room for quiet research and reading, equipped with eleven computer workstations.
  • The Europe room can be used for group work for up to 23 students. This can also be used for the new project "Students helping students", which was designed by the students representatives and teachers.
  • Furthermore, there is also the Europe office, assisting students planning to work or study abroad.
  • Last but not least, the student career guidance office is there to help students finding perspectives for their future professional life.
