Local representatives of all major political parties came to face our students' questions before the European election.

Representatives of the Christian Democrat Union (CDU), the Social Democrats (SPD), the Greens (Grüne/Bündnis90), the Free Democrats (FDP), the Left (Die Linke) and the Alternative for Germany (AfD) came - so the whole spectrum from left to right was present. One thing they all agreed on was that currently Europe is in rocky waters. 

Otherwise, there was quite some disagreement on topics like frontier protection, national independence, environmental protection, and so on.

About 200 students listened to their arguments and also had the opportunity to ask questions themselves. In the end, some students said that it did help them to choose the party they want to vote for - while others were skeptical due to some evasive answers they got to controversial questions.
