Erasmus+ projects at the BKCR
The BKCR has been active for years in facilitating work placements outside of Germany, first within the Leonardo da Vinci program, now within its successor, the Erasmus+ program. There also have been students who found work placements through their own initiative. It is a goal of our school to gradually increase the number of students who find a work placement abroad.
Students from all three "houses" of our school (business/administration, health, social/education professions) have been taking part in the Erasmus+ program.
The BKCR has several partner institutions throughout Europe, in France, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Poland and Sweden.
In recognition of the BKCR's track records of proven quality in organising VET mobility for learners and staff, the BKCR received the Erasmus+ VET Mobility Charter in 2018. This charter makes applying for partnerships with our institutions easier.
We are always open for more partner institutions! If you are interested in an co-operation, please feel free to contact us for more details.
The work placements have proved to benefit both sides, since our students do not only learn independence, job approaches and everyday life cross-culturally but can also teach the staff of our partner how German institutions approach child care.
We of course also advise students who decide to find their own work placement, even outside of the European Union. One example is a student who went to Switzerland for her work placement.
